Loopt joins Looptworks at the 2nd Annual Circular Innovation Challenge
Not all high schoolers are on social media all day or playing video games!
Students from around the US spent a week at The Bates Center for Entrepreneurship & Leadership at Lewis & Clark College participating in the 2nd Annual Circular Innovation Challenge.
This unique program not only focuses on entrepreneurship and innovation, but entrepreneurship for a more sustainable future. Throughout the week, students were inspired by entrepreneurs and leaders in the circular economy, connected with college student mentors, and a team of their peers. Together they learned and practice strategies for ideation and innovation; including lean startup methodology and the business model canvas.
Looptworks CEO and Founder Scott Hamlin focused on maximizing the value of a material in its next life. Loopt joined a panel discussion on on waste as an opportunity with Lauren Zimmermann, Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability and Colleen Johnston at Clackamas County.
