Loopt Educates over 1,600 Students About the Connection Between their Clothes and the Climate
Loopt recently taught over 1,600 students this Spring about the connection between their closet and climate and how to reduce their personal emissions by extending the life of their clothes.
We joined other selected community organizations at three 2030 Climate Solution Fairs in Spring 2024.
The fairs are sponsored by Vision 2030, a team of teachers, volunteers and nonprofit and governmental organizations who support a local, place-based approach to educate middle and high school students about Portland’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 50 percent from 1990 levels by 2030.
We educated students on how they can reduce the impact of their closets, save money, and support the climate comeback by simply extending the lifespan of the clothes they already own.
This included 6 easy ways to extend the life of clothes. You can do the same. Check out the short video above to learn more.
